If dipping, one coat of glaze is sufficient. Use 2-3 coats if brushing or spraying, allowing glaze to thoroughly dry in between each layer of application. The glazes can be fired from cone 4\/6 to cone 9\/10 in oxidation or reduction atmospheres. If using dry mixes, no sieving is necessary but it is recommended that the dry materials be mixed before adding water, in case some of the materials have settled in the bag. The ratio of water added to dry mix is approximately 1 pint of water (16 oz.) to 1 pound of dry glaze.
