Firing between Cones 04-6/ 1920-2340°F/ 1050-1280°C.

Once applied, the decals need to be fired in a kiln.

They cannot be fired in a home oven. Optimum firing temperature will depend on your glaze.

These decals are food safe and lead-free.

• Traditionally, these high temperature decals are applied as a third firing on top of an already fired glaze. Once fired the decals actually sink into the glaze for a beautiful inglaze look, similar to Dutch transferware.
  
  
• Non-traditionally, these decals can also be used on unglazed bisque, provided the clay body is smooth and uniform. The decals can then be fired with or without a glazing. Overlapping the decal on glazed and unglazed surface makes an interesting fuzzy vs. clear effect. We recommend testing this "off label" technique for compatibility before large scale production.
