Taught by Gray Fern Ceramics
About the Class
This 4-week wheel throwing pottery class in San Antonio is designed for continued beginners who have taken an intro pottery class and want to keep building skills with confidence. Over four weeks, students will move beyond basic cylinders and focus on altering wheel-thrown forms, adding handles and attachments, and refining functional pottery.
Each week builds on the last, allowing time to practice techniques, receive feedback, and improve consistency on the pottery wheel. Instruction will cover form development, handle pulling and attachment, and thoughtful finishing so pieces feel intentional and usable.
This pottery wheel class is not intermediate, but it does assume basic wheel throwing experience. It is ideal for students who are comfortable centering clay and throwing simple forms and are ready to level up their skills in a supportive ceramics studio environment in San Antonio.
