Looking for a beginner pottery class in San Antonio? In this 6-week handbuilding ceramics course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of pottery while creating a complete handmade dinnerware set for two.
This class is perfect for beginners who want to learn pottery without using the wheel. Students will be guided through essential handbuilding pottery techniques including slab building, shaping, attaching handles, refining forms, and glazing.
By the end of the course, each student will create a functional ceramic dinnerware set including:
• 2 handmade dinner plates
• 2 ceramic bowls
• 2 mugs or tumblers
All experience levels are welcome. No prior pottery or ceramics experience is required. Our instructors will guide you step by step from raw clay to finished, kiln-fired pottery.
This course is ideal for anyone interested in learning pottery in San Antonio, trying a new creative hobby, or making handmade ceramics for everyday use.
